About
Engineering systems that remain operable
I have spent much of my professional life working with servers, networks and internet infrastructure. I am less interested in technology as an isolated product than in how complete systems behave once they are placed under real operational load.
That means thinking beyond installation. Updates fail, dependencies change, traffic grows, hardware breaks and business requirements move. Good engineering should make those changes manageable rather than surprising.
My day-to-day work covers Linux environments, server and hosting infrastructure, networking, monitoring, backups, migrations, web systems and technical troubleshooting. I also work on the business side of technical decisions: cost, operational risk and the long-term consequences of architecture choices.
